What was in the safe in the basement?

The safe contains Oscar's old medical supplies, and a note adressed to his sister begging for forgiveness for a "transgression." Word of God says he abused his nephew, Terrence, who is also Sam and Kate's father.

"Word of God" in this context refers to an outside-of-narrative disclosure from official sources, presumably the Fullbright Company in this case. I mostly see the phrase used on TV Tropes.

That's pretty interesting to me, I found the combination a different way. On the wall to the right as you're going towards the safe, right around the corner on the same side there's height markings and the year next to it. The year at the top was the combination for me.

The combination is also the year of the Kennedy assination, 1963, which comes up repeatedly.

I think the code is in the library, in the a folder with the letter to terrance from the magazine editor. I didnt notice it when when I was playing but I was recording a Let's Play and noticed it when I was editing the footage.
