The mystery that actually matters *spoilers*
I finished the main story, not bad at all. But the thing that most intrigued me remains unanswered.

What did Oscar do in 1963 that stopped his sister and her son Terry from visiting him, and how is it possibly related to JFK's assassination and Terry's fascination with that?

It's heavily implied Oscar molested Terry. Terry's parents knew, but hushed it up.

Open the safe that's somewhere near the basement -- it contains the explanation and also why Oscar lost his pharmacy.
