Walking really slowly
I've reinstalled with the opportunity to revisit with acheivements and it's running really poorly. When moving it's like I am walking through treacle. I've lowered graphic settings but it's still an issue. Anyone else having this issue /any ideas on fixes?

Does it run really slow if you pause the game as well? (like in the menus) or when looking at you journal entries? Is this in a new game or resuming an old save?

You could try toggling full screen to see if that helps. What's you graphics card/video memory?

I've worked out what the issue was, thanks for replying. Was me not the game

I played the game back when it had no achievements and it ran fine, but now it goes really slowly. Please come back OP!

I’m writing this comment on my phone while using my other hand to press W just to get down the hallway and I’m not there yet lmao

So potentially there is more of an issue. What I realised was that when I last played the game I was using my old very small monitor. I've since got a much larger one but it is attached to a very underpowered desktop.

I ran the game in windowed mode and it works better, so I assumed that the issue was my rubbish spec not coping with a much bigger screen. Perhaps there is something more fundamental.

I tried running it in a window at the lowest resolution. That made a definite improvement in the walking speed (enough that I could tolerate a normal replay), but not enough to get the 1 minute speedrun achievement despite making no mistakes.

Hmm. Is there anyway of removing the update? I wouldn't mind trying to run without the acheivements to see if that helps with speed.

Even when I ran it windowed, it still felt sluggish, but I couldn't work out whether that was just my mind playing tricks on me. I just gave the thought and haven't bothered replaying which is a shame
