can't play the game offline

It seems that when I play offline, I can't play the game. I checked whats going on and apparently I can't seem to play because the online auth API cannot be reached

Due to the developer's efforts to prevent piracy issues.
This game requires a connection to play.

I managed to bypass auth by changing server url to a local api that returns a valid response code so that the auth thinks that it's connecting to the official servers; as for license I had to use real token from my account (also note that the account had launched at least one time "officially speaking")

Too bad about the company's piracy policy, I hate to say it but it's PC, they should know! Should have released it on the Switch and polishing the cheap UI instead of wasting time on preventing piracy issues... Just my drunken two cents
