Since battle cats finally did the collab with metal slug (defense) attack again, I was just wondering if this last remaining version of msa will get anything.

You can skip the ignorant comment from Luca, the answer is no. Metal Slug Attack was sunset, which means this is a offline game where there is NO need of additional live service support, as that would make no sense.

In that light, is not a cashgrab and beside all of that, can't have collaborations with PONOS (battle cats) because licensing for a online time limited event or for a offline games is completely different contracts and costs. Even more considering that in some countries is published by Bandai.
