clone tarma..........
Rita because she dives the enemy frontline, is both tanky AND evasive, and has a special that shreds the entire enemy frontline. She just refuses to die and lets you snowball really easily while the enemy is stuck trying to kill her.
Clone Eri + Clone Tarma, C.Eri's flamethrower does way too much damage for a low cost and low rarity unit and C.Tarma is stupid tanky for his cost and his shotgun hits quite hard.
These are the ones that get mentioned the most anyway.
Everything else you just kind of have to figure out with your team comp, especially since the balancing is different than the original mobile game so none of the tier lists from back then match up 1 to 1.
At first a tanker that can regen his Hp is really good, like some already said Mummy Warrior is a good choice to go until you unlock 200 medal gacha
In late game though, you need to build every faction, and luckily every faction have unit that have long invincible animation, or dodge heavy (in late game some tank with regen still useful, but most time they die too fast with dozen of enemy attack you at once )
Regular Army: Rita, Biker Spirit Tarma
Rebel Army:Dion, Shizuka
Ptolemaic Army: Ptolemaios (this one is high cost, but when I fight him in ultimate mission, he is most annoy unit), Maria
Independent Army: Jin (she is exception, while she can't dodge cause she is regen tank, but her special animation really long), Alma, Awoken Red Goblin
Why no Space army? Well I only build them till able to defeat last story stage, but it not that hard, so I'm not sure yet, but other that I mention are use in Ultimate mission
All in all I think from those I mention, Awoken Red Goblin probably strongest for tank since his special have longest range
The AI will be abnormal, on the face cheating. Able to deploy powerful units fast and in a row, using support without waiting. So the game is build in a way that you need to get the most of your units.
Meaning you need to get that 105% Attack and HP, but having Assist units in the deck. 6 total, or 4, if you unlocked and upgraded your Ultimate unit.
You need to upgrade your Support unit get that extra bonus, and rise the values to 155%
To full upgrade your base, support and each unit, cause any edge will be necessary to overcome the AI abuse. Max level up, equip, skill, pow up.
I prefer to play this game mostly on auto, cause there is too much repetition, and I rather spend time doing something else. The problem is to find a good deck build for that, since the auto AI can take a lot of bad decisions.
Sometimes I get so happy that I found that perfect team. Like yesterday that I managed to beat a lot of missions on Hell difficulty. But for some reason, just one small upgrade on one unit defense and attack, and everything changes, and now the team is just losing after losing. Reason for that is mostly likely because how the enemy AI is scripted. Will trigger some abuse depending of a hidden time limit, or when some unit dies, or the base get a hit, And if some unit end up faster or slower, will just affect the entire run.
I imagine that players that got used to do most manual combat, might have less problems, but that is not for me.
Like all expensive units, red goblin is a risky unit cos if he ever gets sniped (like in mission where there are plenty of suicide units), you'll have to wait a long time before you can spawn him again. And you dont want your team to be caught without a tank.
For very late game, the other op unit i can think of is rumi. Fully upgraded rumi with max special atk faction buff will constantly recharge the special atk of other units in your team. Now your tank will have infinite dodge and your dps will constantly barrage the enemies.
Now i just hope they dont add christmas rumi to the game
For me though, I use a deck with 3 evade tanks like Miharu, Rita & Jin, a 4 star default Marco with his enhancements near max skill, back them up with a tanky dmg like Allen O'neil , & then have two people protecting the rear & just shooting non stop from the back, preferably a sniper like Simon or Midori who stands back at sniper range but she's doing some crazy bullet hell crap. Perche is a good one too, although she stands at mid range so she gets killed quick after your evade tanks & marco die.
Your back line (Plus Marco & Allen) is going to be doing the majority of the damage since your evade tanks are mainly there to keep moving the battle line forward.
Then give this crew air support with Flying Core since in most pve matches you'll have 3 or more in the air because they're kind of hard to hit. Add Dragunov if you need another unit to support you from the air, but she dies a lot easier than Flying Core. She does a lot of dmg though.
I then have one open spot left that I either reserve for the huge units like Jupiter King or Rootmars or I go with another tanky wifey that has a self heal like Scwarz Metzelei
This crew has got me through most of the game without level grinding at all. It's to the point where I don't even control the matches any more, I just let the cpu play it for me since I'll usually win due to how I'll eventually overwhelm the enemy through sheer numbers.
Especially since I have this suicidal Marco that keeps coming at them 3 at a time lol.
A 4 star Marco alone could solo the whole game if he didn't die in 1 or 2 hits. Max skill Marco spams machine guns non-stop.
Leona is another good one, but she dies a lot quicker than Marco since she only attacks at melee range for some reason even though her art shows her holding a gun. A 4 star Leona is nuts because she one hit Mike Tyson KOs fools, & if she doesn't kill you in one hit, she'll strike like 5 times in a single second. Her problem is that her range sucks so I prefer to use Marco or Ralf as the suicidal unit that does a lot of dmg right before they die.
In early game, the Bear is one of the best. Then you find out the reason why when you get to the later game & start recruiting R . SR units. The Bear is a beast because it's a melee tank. All of the tanky characters are pretty good but the best I've came across so far are the dodge tanks, Miharu, & Rita. Jin is more like the Bear, She's just a very tanky melee unit but she's better than the bear because she's so fast.
Plus the position, does it affect how auto battle plays? I’m currently grinding materials on auto and was curious about how the AI plays.
The purple mummy is OP.
Edit: I realise if you are farming items from older levels, it best to use less or don’t go for quick OP kills as you have a chance to not rescue anyone which you get no items.
You don't want less than 10 units cause at level 50 you get so much AP so fast that it isn't a limiter...having all your units on deployment cooldown is the limiter. By having less than 10 unit you are destroying the total number of units you can have out and fighting.
Oh wow I didn’t realise support skills were that good. No wonder I’m struggling at the moment…I was just winging it and upgrading without paying too much attention. Thanks for the tips.
