It's not a traditional Metal Slug game, but it looks super fun
Its mostly a dead series for the longest time they been pushing out mobile metal slugs
they been leasing the IP to other studios for awhile now
Rather then SNK working on it them it them self
You're asking for a monkey paw wish. I'd rather that SNK lets the action platformers stand on its own until they come across some new devs who can do the series justice. Similar to what happened with Streets of Rage. SOR4 has no right to be as good as it is, but it's actually as legendary as the classic trilogy. That's not an easy feat to accomplish. The last thing I want to see from Metal Slug is for they to go the way of Contra, where even Konami themselves don't seem to understand what made the platformers good. Operation Galuga is ok at best, but ok isn't enough for a series that's so damn legendary.
