4 Spectators?

I'm stuck at the part where the turtle cellist wants 4 spectators for the concert. I have 4 people near the stage, but it's not accepting it.

Can anyone be a spectator? I tried having 4 characters on the light brown part of the stage, and also tried having them on the dark brown part (where the music note is).

I think so. Which characters did you use as a spectator? Try to bring more to the light brown part.

I think the signposting for that puzzle could have been better. The puzzle works as expected if I place four characters on the podium, but if I place them elsewhere, the musician says "Good! Now I need to play in the town hall", with "in the town hall" highlighted. So it sounds like he already has four spectators, because he doesn't repeat that he still needs spectators, and also like he wants to go elsewhere to play, because that location doesn't look like a town hall. I was stuck on that puzzle for a while.
