PC keeps crashing in world tree (spoilers)

The game has run fine on my PC (7800x3d rx6800) so far. Until the scene where you travel with Freya after the fight with her and Atreus turns into a wolf. For some reason, it crashes 5 seconds in so I cant progress. I have tried, disabling frame gen, capping fps to 30 and putting graphics to low. All of which have not helped...
I had initially had issues with fsr frame gen when i first played the game, and realized is was an issue with medal running in the background. So I no longer have medal open.
The only apps I have running are: Xbox, Steam, Fan control software, amd software and Logitech g hub.

any suggestions?
