To Whoever Designed the Draupnir Spear

I love you, that weapon is so satisfying to use.

It really is. I honestly find all of the four major "weapons" including the fists to be a lot of fun, but the spear definitely kicks butt.

I honestly can't find a use for it in the main game. It's busted in Valhalla with the random element on throw, but I genuinely only use it to
- dump off the runics
- when the game forces me to use it (grey chains on health bar, weak points)

Well, it is, in case you like animation cancelling. But the elemental builds on the axe and blades can also be extremely strong in Valhalla, I guess it is balanced in a somewhat over-the-top manner.

I did not like how the best value for it is just constant animation cancelling. The axe I didn't find that much fun with, but an axe cooldown build there is insanely addicting (plus the blades are my favourite anyway)

I love it in Valhalla for the most part too. the best part is the animation cancelling. You can exploit it to get more explosions out of the spear! I love to send an enemy flying with "Y" and then continuing to throw spears will cause the new ones to explode for a time too. It feels like an exploit but it's so good.

Actually the spear is easily the best weapon in Ghost of Sparta as well...so the Draupnir spear being awesome felt right to me.

It comes in too late in the main game, it's definitely more satisfying in Valhalla or probably Newgame+, which I haven't started yet because I love Valhalla too much. I hope they keep it in the third game whenever that's coming.

Not really. By the time you get it, you still have some optional areas to explore and a bunch of optional bosses to go after. I got plenty of use out of it.
