The only thing that feels odd to me, is the menu design and keybinds...
I have no issues playing this game so far.
Controls feel very reminiscent of both Horizon titles.
I don't know where to begin, but just a couple of examples. Left mouse should be attack, right mouse aim or activate weapons secondary function, left mouse still the one executing the attack while middle mouse could for instance be a part of some attack combo or a special function. Space should be jump. Double tap to movement keys should be evading to that direction. Ctrl or c should be crouch and shift run. Now space is evade, one button throws ax, but you need another button to retrieve it. Then I don't feel like there is any difference if I hit something on body or head. It just feels like I am using awesome looking attacks that barely scratch the enemy.
As menus go, they have weirdness too. For instance something as simple as where you select shield, weapon and armor on the left, then there is a vertical line separating it from what looks like another menu next to it on its right side (the ones on the right are even quarter of a step lower - comparable to if you move mouse to Programs in Windows Start menu and it opens a list of your programs), but here it is actually the same thing in some weird way. Then you have the menu on the bottom of the screen. And then the skill tree. Another example of how something very simple can be made to appear slow and confusing.
Jesus Christ, buy a damn controller. It's an action game.
Why? Controller is vastly inferior to mouse and keyboard. You can't even aim properly with a controller.
No. Mouse and Keyboard are the right choice for every occasion, except maybe when game has poor controls due to console background.
