Can't play because my country is not in Playstation approved regions

How sad is that? They are forcing people do pirate games. I wanted to buy it outright for a full price and i can't because my country is still not approved. Don't want to run through hoops just to end up buying 60 euro game. Ridiculous. When will they add all countries and make their games available to everyone? Though it would be the end of it when they added their games to PC but i guess something always has to come up.

You can blame your countries government for that. Because likely they have some requirements for Sony that are too bothersome and it is not worth it for them.
Despite what a lot of people think majority of the problem why PSN not being available in regions / countries are government laid outlines for such services.
For example there are countries in EU where you will not be able to make a PSN account unless you submit a copy of your countries ID card (that is a requirement the government put on).

Exactly. Insane that I want to spend money on something but it's not beeing made available to me and it's not even a new game that I'm gonna throw 60 euroes at. Crazy.

Not really. It is the same exact thing as Battlenet, 2k, rockstar, ubisoft and others are doing.
The only difference is the restriction with is not even Sony's fault.
And they inform you clearly about it from the store page, so it is all there black on white.

If they made PSN available in his region but government put on a required state ID verification by sending in a copy or other government issues ID's you would be here complaining about them "getting your data" while it would be completely enforced on them.

So if you want to complain complain at the actual root of the issue and not those caught in it.

Root issue is single player game REQUIRING additional online components. They Aught to make it Opt In and reward players with in game stuff to just make them WANT to use the PSN.

I agree on this except for the part where you just blame Sony, because it is not just Sony enforcing this, like I said earlier, Battlenet, Gethseda, Ubisoft, Rockstar, 2k and so on are doing the exact same thing. So we should blame all of them equally.

Except that I'm playing all their games with no issues while I can't say the same for Sony. I don't mind making a PSN account but I simply can't. Not available for my country and there's no reason to not make it available.

That the easiest and best way to get the numbers up is to make it a requirement even if it's not necessary as this drives the numbers up and has a chance of locking in these new potential customers as new loyal to the PS clan. IE, that once they sign up for the PSN they'll drop their panties and decide that they'll want every other PS game now and buy a ps5

This PSN account requirement is not only unnecessary for a single-player game, it also makes you dependent on Sony. Their guidelines are sometimes much stricter and most ToS prohibit changing game data, i.e. modding. This PSN requirement allows Sony to check the data if they want to and if, for example, you install a mod that replaces MJ's character model in Spider-Man 2 with the character model from the previous game, it can lead to you losing your PSN account. And with it access to all the games that are connected to it.
So you are giving Sony, another company that is not exactly known for being customer-friendly, remote access to all the games that you have to connect to this account.
There is a good reason why people don't have a PayStation and don't want one.
For me, the PSN account requirement is an absolute deal breaker. I would rather not play the games at all than create an account like that, and yes, I wouldn't create a UBI account again these days either.

i just check The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered and there forcing PSN account on that game as well RIP the last of us
