fury tier 2 and 3

It's probably staring me in the face, but how do I upgrade rage abilities to tiers 2 and 3? With my rune abilities it allows me to hold x (xbox controller) to upgrade. With the rage abilities (fury, valor, etc) it shows on screen how much xp you need but there's no button to use it.

i believe once you reach it you can upgrade and if u can't try to go to sindri

I'm not sure what the problem was. I had more than enough xp at the time. Now the X button is displayed like it's supposed to be. When there's not enough xp, the font is red and the x button isn't visible.
