[FIX] DISABLE VIGNETTE, DOF and TAA. Graphics optimization Guide

Hello guys. Here is an optimization guide that focuses on the graphics presets. Each setting comparison and their visual difference is shown here along with their performance cost. Hope this guide will help you achieve higher frame rates on good systems and playable experience on low end hardware.

To disable vignette, depth of field or TAA from the game all together or disable anyone one of them, first download this no TAA fix file:

After that extract the file and copy the 2 files included in the folder to your game directory. This will disable all 3 effects from the game. To re-enable any effect, go to back to your game directory and locate GOWR.NoTAA.ini file (this file is automatically created after starting the game with the fix file). Open it in notepad and replace any of the value from TRUE to FALSE to re-enable that effect in game. After that save the file.

For some reason this doesnt work for me. The ini file is not created after launching the game. Tried to make it manually but still not working. Any ideas?

The same happened to another user as well and the reason was, that his game folder was set to READ ONLY in properties. Make sure you don't have that.

Thank you for your mod but my game freeze after a few minutes or sometimes just after launching the game. When I remove the mod the game works perfectly again. Do you have any idea why the mod does this, please, thank you.

I have GTX 4070.

Does the mod creates the .ini file in your game folder? Also I have not tried this mod with frame gen enabled because I don't have a 40 series card, so maybe that is causing the issue. On top of that, you dont need to disable TAA of you have DLSS activated because DLSS uses its on AA method.

Thank you for answering me, yes the ini file is in the game folder, and I don't use Fram gen because it is broken in this game, for dlss I don't use it.

Then test things out keeping only one effect TRUE in .ini file to see which one is causing the trouble. For me I have just disabled Vignette and DOF and in settings I have DLSS enabled which never gives me any trouble.

Keep in mind though that DOF in this game is only active in cutscenes. The one at the distance during normal play is just fog, so have a save near a cutscene and then compare. Good luck.
