I’ve also been playing horizon forbidden west and ghost of Tsushima via remote play to the legion go with no issues.
Yeah =( this sucks. I'm yet to find a solution to this issue.
The exact same thing is happening with Space Marine 2. Meanwhile Ghost of Tsushima and The Plucky Squire are working perfectly on remote play.
Please, warn me if you find a solution.
If I find a solid solution I will let you know. There doesn't seem to be many threads on this. I guess us remote players are few in numbers.
I may eventually try that but so far I had a good experience with Remote Play streaming from my pc to the Steam Deck. I've finished the Metro trilogy and I'm almost done with Ghost of Tsushima.
I still don't know why it won't recognize any input from the Steam Deck on God of War Ragnarok and Space Marine 2.
=/ everything is the same here.
Ghost of Tsushima is working fine but there's no input while streaming God of War Ragnarok and Space Marine 2
Trying to remote play to my Steam Deck OLED. Launches without an issue, but controller doesn't work.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Playstation Overlay launch is not letting the Remote Play controller hook into the game.
It could be that but I'm facing the exact same issue with Space Marine 2. I'm afraid the problem is elsewhere.
But today it isn't working again.
I'm clueless.
Wtf is going on?
Any workarounds?
I found a workaround for the issue. Here are the steps to follow to make Remote Play work:
1. Do not launch God of War (GOW) initially, this is a key point.
2. Start a controller on your PC (I’m using an Xbox controller in my case).
3. Launch GOW (either from your PC or from the Steam Deck). When the game starts, it will detect an active controller and will automatically enable Steam Input.
4. If not already done, start the game on the Steam Deck in Remote Play.
5. Once the game is visible on the Steam Deck, turn off your controller. When the controller is off, Steam Input will switch from the Xbox controller to the next available one: the Steam Deck's built-in controller.
6. Enjoy!
I hope this helps! Let me know if it works for you.
