Frame Gen Bug On Patch 2.0
So this new patch 2.0 make a bug for me. The game will run nicely then everytime I open option menu or setting, then continue the game, it will flickering like crazy. Using MSI Afterburner to see the fps it'll be 1-2 fps with 100-200 input lag.

To fix it I need to disable framegen (either DLSS or FSR will be the same) or back to the start menu then choose Continue to my game. Although fixable it's still annoying. Do I need to get through that everytime I upgrade skill, armor, seeing map, goals, etc?

Please fix this.

My spec:
Lenovo LOQ
i5 13420H
RTX 4050 6 GB Vram
RAM DDR5 5200 16 GB dual channel

I'm curious, what is your game's framerate baseline before enabling NVIDIA FG? NVIDIA FG requires a constant minimum of 40+ FPS without FG to perform fine, and AMD FG requires 60+ FPS. Also, high refresh rate monitors/display panels are highly recommended when using Frame Generation technologies.

You should also monitor your VRAM usage during gameplay. It should always sit below 100% and if you reach 100% or above VRAM utilization, you need to turn your settings down. Otherwise, your FPS will drop severely and you will get awful stuttering.

same problem after patch 2.0

Before applying FG & any upscaling I get 60-70 fps on medium preset, Vram 87%. On 1440p. At least that's what it shown in the graphic setting menu.

For the 2nd point: Well I don't have any stutter in the previous patch. This flickering issue is new since patch 2.0 for me

Edit:

With no fg & upscaling it shows 87% vram in the setting. Play it, immediately go to graphic setting, now it shows 98% vram lol. The leak is crazy. Guess I hv to make to DLAA until new patch come out

Did you tried to verify game files?
Do you have graphics card drivers updated?

You can try to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and wipe graphics drivers and install fresh ones.

Frame generation uses more vram from you graphics card when you use it. In some scenarios when your vram is maxed it might not be useful.

Yes I've verify the files and make sure the driver updated to the latest as well. Even checking my Windows update too. Well I dont try reinstall the display driver yet.

I have the same problem, I am currently on the latest version, when I turn on dlss frame gen and enter settings or map, the screen starts shaking, the mouse cursor comes and goes, fps drops to 5-10, it does not fix itself without going back to the main menu, is there a solution?

There is no problem when dlss frame gen is not on, but there is a big fps difference

I think frame gen just flat out does not work. Even Geforce Experience sets everything to native ultra with no FG but I get like 20-40 FPS after leaving Midgard. When I turn on FG it barely hits 60 FPS with drops to 20-30fps and everything gets muddy/blurry when moving like motion blurr is on turbo setting. I even tried putting everything on medium(3080TI/5950X/32Gb) and it will barely add 1-5 fps. Someone on Reddit said use FSR instead but that causes insane screen tearing for me even though I got 144hz 4K monitors.

Some other threads were talking about the latest patch breaking FG, especially when disabled. They mentioned deleting the FG dll "nvngx_dlssg.dll" from the game folder (or just changing the file type) fixed it, but I haven't tested.
Obviously that leaves you unable to turn FG on.

nixxes are quick, a patch wont be far off

Nixxes has nothing to do with this port. This was ported to PC by Jetpack Interactive.

Sadly it's done by Jetpack. They have like 5 people on their whole team. It's the same people that did the GoW'18 port and that had issues on launch as well. I wish it was Nixxes. They dropped the ball with their first ports but have gotten so much better since then. But they also have like 50+ people doing it.

But it's definitely a leak. I spent a good 30 mins to 1hr messing with settings and I realized all the sudden the game is saying it's using 130% of my 12gb Vram and that's just not correct at all lol.

Set the dlss to quality while keeping the FG activated solves the problem. If I put the dlaa on the stutter appears.
