game says running then goes back to play doesn't even launch basically tried everything

you need to provide more info.

Windows or Linux? What Windows version/Linux distro? GPU? VRAM? RAM? CPU? Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? Did you make sure to let the redists install via Steam?

Have you made sure this isn't a global problem that has just recently sprung up? Tested other games?

ive tested other games no problem 3090, 32gb ram i9 11th gen and windows 10 and updated my drivers today, 24326 VRAM

Sorry for not replying soon enough but if you haven't got it working already then this about all I can recommend.

Go into the game's root directory and see if there's a redist folder, if there is then install everything in it just to make sure.

Verify game files (Right-click game > Properties > Installed FIles > Verify integrity of game files)

Restart PC

These are some pretty basic troubleshooting steps but since there isn't an error it's all I can really give you :/

Does the game at least open a window then close when you click play or is it absolutely nothing at all?

there should be a file named install_pspc_sdk_runtime.bat in the root directory, try running it.

maybe try running the GoWR.exe by its self outside of Steam.

i seen someone with a similar issue say just trying to open the game with no internet worked somehow.

im having the same issue but it only started after update 2 so it's definitely not a hardware issue. i already played the game for like 15 hours. but now when i hit play (or use the .exe, i did try that too) it says launching, then playing, but no game window ever comes up or shows on the side bar, then it closes automatically moments later with no crash or error reports.

it is beyond frustrating to have a game go from working to not working because of such a tiny 'bugfix' patch especially when i had multiple days off work specifically just to play it. and no, its just this game. all of my other steam games work normally before and after this one started doing this.

I have the same damn problem after the update it stop running fine tried verifying, reinstalling, and pspc sdk install and still nothing smh.

same for me, try running it as administrator, but not like in single click, change it in Properties, click right click on .exe properties and the run as administrator, that worked for me, but now i cannot create psn acc cuz microsoft edge is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up something and i cannot go past it

still nothing has worked no popup no black screen think i have tried everything but theres always a little like cloud error icon next to the game and it flashes when it tries to launch i think

ur lucky i haven't been able to launch it once is it something to do with a cpu issue maybe?

I am with the same problem... think thats a problem with the patch and nothing we do can open the game. Others games runs with no problem to me but I know that the update is the cause and with no other update soon we can only wait and frustate.
