insane vram usage
I have 3070, r53600 and 32Gb ram but this game has a not normal vram usage. Atm my vram usage is 130% and frame is around 30fps. this is ridicolous.

Performance though never suffered drastically like some people have experienced and I was in Svartalfheim playing at a steady 130 fps with dips to high 110s/low 120s at times.

I have noticed the exact same issue. I can play for 2-3 hours tops then it start to lag a little and windows is very unresponsive. All I can do is reboot the PC and start over. I've tried wired controller aswell and tried to change some gfx settings but nothing seems to help.

Patch soon ey? Wake up devs!

I have a 3080, i'm not even playing in ultra settings and the game eats 100% of my vram. It's weird considering the previous game was running very smoothly at launch, 90fps in ultra

When this happens restart the game. Restart your computer to flush the VRM. you should be good for an hour per time, (i do this) - hey sony. patch wen?

I didn't optimize the game to get scolded. The frame drop is too severe. Buy RAM leak until it is fixed. Don't do it.

Same problem

I'm using rx6600 and the game crashes every 10-20 minutes with Out of memory error. There was no problem until Alfheim

guys i feel like if the game is using by default a lot of vram , i tried it with 3 tipes of systems , low end , mid end and high end , the low end was a laptop with a r5 5500u 8gb ram and radeon vega 7 2GB , that could avtually open the game , but it was crashing on the start menù , the mid one , was one with a i7 10th gen , 8 gb ram and a rtx 2080 8gb and the game could run but the vram at low/mid graphics was at 100% and even got to 110% .
with the high end it was a totally another story , i9 14th gen , 32GB ram and an rtx 4070 16gb , that could keep the game at 80 fps with everything at ultra graphics and kept the vram usage at 60/70% , i thing that there is a big problem with the vram usage of the game

I think after the recent patches VRAM usage is not much of an issue unlike when it was released

In the graphics settings it shows how much it WOULD use and not how much it uses. My god. People should really have understood this years ago. This is nothing new in games.

Yeah there is smoothbrain. That's why they call it a memory leak. My God, a novice PC gamer would know this simple fact.

Hello guys
Is is already fixed?
I am thinking about buying this game, but have a laptop GPU with limited VRAM.

I would highly reccomend you to wait. Or play for two hours and test and just refund. For me it's unplayable for longer than 90mins so I just CBA to keep going until (if ever) getting fixed. I'm starting to lose hope, and rather just play it on PS5.

No, it's not unfortunately. I'd say just play it on console if you have one. This PC port is horrendous

How can you use more VRAM than you have? lol
