you don't need a PSN account

So, apart from the game being FUBAR and crashing in the same exact place (first 15mins, right after the sled pursuit and just before meeting fenrir) even though my specs go way beyond the required for ULTRA, I actually never had to make anything related to the PSN account to just play the game.

I just booted up the game and started playing. Can someone explain to me what's the commotion all about? You can just play the game without signing in to anything so... what gives? I'm confused

Just people looking for something to complain about. Someone on the Internet told them to be mad about Sony having PSN login on their games just like Microsoft so now they are going around trying to review bomb the game even though it doesn't force you to sign in.

Like I said, I'm playing the game without signing in to anything. Can you explain your perspective with actual words and without trying to be an snarky smart-azz? Or it's just too hard for you? Have you even tried for your own or just following the herd?

The same reason you believed the internet when they said the game forces you to login. The page says you are subject to PlayStations ToS not that the game forces you to login.

You don't have to *link* your PlayStation and Steam accounts, but you do have to *log into* a PlayStation account -- either through this game or another PlayStation game on the same machine sometime in the past -- in order to be allowed to play.

You probably linked your PSN to Steam at some point, or signed in elsewhere, and have forgotten about it.

You don't need to sign in to play the game, but you do need to have an account linked.

It's because you've already logged into PSN on another game, you only have to do it once and then you're auto logged in on every game.
