Game seems to be "lazy" port for PC
Anyone else beside me thinks this game is a "lazy" port from PS to PC?

I mean, whereever I look there are leftovers from console version. For example controls are simplyfied - dodging, climbing and interactions are under one button and can't be separated like in GoW 2018. I could use space for climbing and dodging and E for interaction, now I can't even change that, which makes controls a bit strange comparing to original game. When I click "show controls" there is picture of a playstation pad with keyboard buttons marked on it. It looks awful. There are console-related icons and console terminology everywhere like "display pad/controller setting" which displays mouse/keyboard options.

The original game felt like genuine 100% PC-designed game, it was fantastic high quality PC port of a console game. And now GoW:R seems to be done by lazy team who didn't even care for details and mentioned earlier controls. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't affect gameplay that much, but my personal impression is much worse.

No toggle walk for PC users (M/Kb).
No FOV slider (for a desktop display at 40/50cm the experience is horrible).
Same functions under same buttons (console gamepad garbage / we've got over 100 buttons on PC + tons of buttons on the mouse - like... WTF?!).
Weird X/Y sensitivity axis.
Huge buttons and game UI.

Excellent job!

Now you know why I am missing the 'mouse icon'...

plus
1. idiotic key bindings for fast turning
2. no possibility to bind runic attacks on different buttons (like it was in 2018), so you forced to press q+lmb/q+rmb
3. no 2 different menus for kb+m and gamepad - just one big mess
4. terrible work of lock-on with mouse
5. many people report that they can't even move camera with mouse

It's a rock solid port. Use a controller.

They've already shown they can do better. It's a poorly done port that they do know how to do better.

I've found a way to toggle between jogging and walking using a software called reWASD, which uses your keyboard as a PS controller.
You can chose which buttons to emulate and the position of the joystick.
For me "w"=joystick all up
"ctrl" + "w" =joystick slightly up which triggers slow walking.

Remember to "push WASD gently"...

I tend to prefer a DS4 controller on PC Sony titles so it isn't a big deal for me but I noticed the key/mouse controls pale in comparison to last version's.

If I am not mistaken, the original port was made by Santa Monica itself, that's why it was of a good quality.
But this time around Sony hired some small studio to do the job and they failed miserably. Who knows if it is possible to fix all performance issues, bugs and controls, but right now Ragnarok is one of the worst Sony PC ports.

no, it's one team that did both ports

Really? I could bet that SM said back in 2022 that it was their main effort to bring GoW2018 to PC in the best possible quality.

What a very insighful, precise and helpful advice.

AND not forgetting the pop up telling you to press the WSAD buttons gently to go slow when using the sled which would be great if we were using an analog keyboard.
