My desktop resolution is 1440p therefore there is no reason I shouldn't be able to have the in game resolution at 1440p too
using DLSS or FSR will reduce the resolution because they upscale it. Thats how it works. If you have DLSS enabled but use DLAA instead of quality or performance, your resolution goes to your desktop one.
You aren't running on a 4:3 monitor are you? If you are, the game will reduce the resolution and add black bars
