List of problems that i ran into, maybe the devs see it
Feel free to add something that isn't on my list.

-Remapping keys is AWFUL, the genius that decided to tie controller buttons to specific KEYBOARD keys should be ashamed.

-When without the axe, Kratos does not realize finishers with his hands, the axe spawns for the animation then dissappears and you proceed to fight bare handed till you call the axe back.

-Sounds are way too low, despite sound configuration. (Patch 2 refeers to surround audio only, game volume still way too low)
EDIT: Sounds still are too low as in patch 3.1

(FIXED in Patch 2)-Some hud elements are VERY low res, like the icons for keyboard keys, or kratos/atreus icons in the weapons/upgrades menu.

-Some remapped keys dont show in the tutorials or in menus.

-Shader compilation every time you start the game, its fast, about 15-30 seconds, but its there.
EDIT: I've seen a dev explaining that this is the game just validating the shaders and cache, don't think that will ever go away, but at least it's fast.

-Game reverts back some remapped keys to default ones, it shows as remapped in the remapping menu but in gameplay reverts back to the default, example being that i use ctrl to sprint, a side button on the mouse to aim and shift to dodge, it reverts back only the aim key to ctrl but retains the side mouse button aswell, and no key to sprint, as i said before, remapping sucks.
EDIT 1: After Pacth 2 game is now reverting not only the aim button to the default but the Atreus action aswell, despite being displayed in the rebinding menu as the rebinded keys.

-Other changed configurations don't actually change despite being displayed as changed. Seen this in the mentioned remapped keys, AND in sound configuration aswell, game displays that i change from balanced to low, but i can change to whatever and sound doesnt change.
EDIT 1: this not only applies to what i talked about, which i suppose is the dynamic range, but to all the volume options aswell.
EDIT 2: This problem persists after patch 2, now what i suppose is the dynamic range is inverted, low is actually high, high is actually low, and balanced is balanced, all three of them still don't change a thing, or if they do, all the volume and sounds are STILL way too damn low to notice any difference.
EDIT 3: Persists after patch 3.1

(MOSTLY FIXED after PATCH 3.1, game still crashes in the codex area and at random sometimes but it's way less frequent now)-Constant crashes, really, when opening the game, when closing, when playing, when reaching a checkpoint, seriously, what the actual f*ck?
POSSIBLE FIX: This mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/godofwarragnarok/mods/2?tab=description ) made me able to play for almost 4 hours straight with no crashes whereas before i couldnt play for more than 45-60 minutes without a crash, dont know if something as simple as changing priority could be solving this, but well, it worked for me.
EDIT: Well, really f*ck this game, the more i play the more bugs and crashes i find, jesus i just don't refund this bc when i started this discussion i was already with 3 hours of run time according to steam.
EDIT 1: Turning V-Sync in game instead through your gpu also seems to be better.

(FIXED)-Mouse sometimes doesnt work, it seems random and arbitrary, i'm playing and moving the camera, and suddenly it stops working, (alt tabbing and then back to the game seems to solve it)

-Another configuration that display as changed but actually doesnt change, fullscreen isnt actually fullscreen, it's borderless window.

(FIXED)-Sometimes when turning the camera to the left it stops it, have to turn a little bit to the right then turn left again so i can have the full motion that i wanted.

(FIXED, THANK YOU)-Game crashes constantly in the Modvitnir's Rig, where you have to fight with what i suppose is a mini boss or at least a big enemy, i dont really know bc the game crashes to moment that enemy starts to move.
POSSIBLE FIX: I really can't believe that this worked, but if you load the game and stay still with Kratos, the enemy wont move and the game wont crash. There, when you're already loaded (Can see Kratos) change your window setting, from windowed to fullscreen or the other way around, keep playing, and the game won't crash. WHY GOD?
EDIT 1: The problem seems to be with the enemy type "Bergsra Mother". Game crashes EVERY time this type of enemy appears, it happened again in the "weight of chains" favour where you have to fight one of these after jumping off an elevator and destroying the weakned ground.
EDIT 2: Game crashes not really when the mentioned enemy type appears, but when it starts moving.
EDIT 3: The possible fix only works IF: 1- You can see the bergsra mother or 2- if the enemy is already aggroed to you, in the "weight of chains" favour you have to jump down (bc the game at the very least saves right before facing a hard enemy) to the pit, bc you cant see the enemy before doing so, and as soon as you hear the enemy roaring or see the red arrow indicating that the enemy is active and aggroing you, you pause the game, change the window mode, unpause the game, play it enough to pass the point of crashing, and you're good, can keep playing until you come across this enemy again and the game crashing again. I suppose this works with the thor encounters crashing aswell, as it seems to be a problem related to enemies appearing/moving/aggroing on you.
EDIT 4: It seems that the problem with this enemy type is the very first attack it makes towards you, except the one it spawns more of the little rat-snake like creatures, when it aggro on you, you have enough time to pause mid animation and make a change in the configurations of the game, so far changing the window type or turning on/off the sound seems to work.
EDIT 5: Light elves flash granades also cause the game to crash when they explode, the fix also applies here, wait for a elf to throw the flashbang, after the throw and before they explode is where you pause the game to make the workaround work.

-Another configuration that doesn't work is the reducing of hints, being on or off whichever companion you have will immediatly start talking about what you have to do to move forward, it's annoying and sony must think that their players are toddlers.

ADDED PROBLEMS (That i can confirm aswell):

( HALF FIXED in Patch 2)-Audio can't be changed from stereo to surround (5.1, 7.1), nor audio device can be changed, it remains at defaullt, it states change your global setting on your console, it's not a console (DUH!) (i have a headphone) and comments have surround sound.
EDIT 1: After patch 2 audio is now surround only, without the option to be stereo, and you still cannot change the output device to headphones (which is my case) or whatever you have, i ain't on a damn console, stop saying for me to change the configurations on a console.

(KINDA FIXED, game still crashes from time to time, but it's less frequent and takes longer)-Long gaming sessions oversaturates the GPU memory and forces you to restart. Feels a bit like RAM memory leak problems but on the GPU side. I have not crashed yet but the game states 150%-200% of the 12GB GPU memory is being used after 2h of playing, causing the game to drop over 90FPS and lag heavily. (Can confirm, in a 3070, game starts with a very reasonable 5,9/6,2 gb vram usage, ultra settings at native 1080p, and slowly creeps up to 8,1/8,3 gb, may be the reason for some of it's crashes).

-Some keys can't be rebinded at all, like the map, the spartan fury, or the run if want it to be a hold and not a toggle, again, the remapping sucks in this game. (Can confirm)

-Input lag when using the shield make it harder to counter. (Can confirm this aswell)

(FIXED in Patch 2)-Nvidia FG isn't working. AMD FG seems fine. (Can confirm)

-Lighting in dark areas is quite odd, a lot of flickering when entering and getting out of dark areas, some bright spot in the middle of darkness, it seems to not be working correctly.

ADDED PROBLEMS (That i can't confirm):

-Shadows distance is worse than 2018 port. (Yeah, not gonna install another game just to screenshot it and compare)

-Hdr is not maintained and must be re-enabled every time the game is launched. (Can't confirm bc i do not have a hdr display)

(PATCH 3.1 says its fixed)-Gamepad disconnects as well and causes a hard crash at times. There is also a memory leak that will crash the game. A wired Dualsense with Steam input disabled presents you with no haptics. When the game actually runs, it performs well for a time (Aurora R15/4070ti), but the next crash is just around the corner. This one came out of the oven too soon.

-Game crashes in every cutscene after patch 2 (Can't confirm bc, luckly, my game is fine on that front).

Oh yeah, i've seen that too, mine shows default only, and i'm using headphones, gonna add that to list.

Glad I waited. All the time they've had and couldn't release in a proper working state. Sickening.
Let me bind the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map

I was very excited to play at launch but, I immediately encountered some of these issues and it has put me off.

Sadly i won't be abe to test this bc i do not have an hdr display, but i'll add to the list nonetheless

Another one that i can't test, bc i use a KBM, but it is added to what is becoming a very long list of problems.

Up. I just replayed GoW 2018 to compare and it's absurd how Ragnarok sounds inferior and plays worse than the previous. I hope they improve the port to be on par with the 1st one.
