Fullscren Problem?

Why is there no 4k option in full screen mode in graphics settings?
Why can't we change the resolution when we select full screen?

I'm playing on a Razer laptop, while using an external 32" monitor (Asus). I want to play on 1080p fullscreen at max settings (runs smoother), but I'm only given the option for 4K at fullscreen. My laptop specs: RTX 3080ti with 16gb VRAM, 64gb system RAM, Intel i7-12800H.

As far as I understand, many people are experiencing such problems and it will be fixed with a new update.

I hope they fix it immediately, it doesn't suit a company like Sony to release a game like this.

same, running alienware laptop to a 4k tv. Only way to change res is get out of full screen, but using ALT+SHIFT make sit go fullscreen at 4k again.

NOw the game will run like butter in 4k at medium settings at 60fps, but would rather 1080p it at ultra settings

I am having the same issue. My laptop does 1600x1200 and the game doesn't allow close to that in full screen. However, when I open the settings file in notepad it seems to be set for that AND full screen so I am not sure if it is just an issue with the game menu display.

My mistake. It was due to having Nvidia DLSS on and set to Quality. Set to DLAA it reports the native rez.

Yeah, that's true, I just realized that.

Samsung ultrawide here. Full screen only works at one resolution lower but not in native mode.

Same here: Game starts in full screen 2560x1440. It is not possible to switch to 3840x2160. This resolution only works in windowed mode and if you then switch to full screen with Alt+Tab, the game will drop to 2560 resolution.

I had this problem but it was only because of DLSS since it basically scale up from a lower resolution, and this game is in the end more accurate than other games, since they show you the base resolution (lower) and not the upscale (upscale being your real resolution).
Anyway, play with DLSS settings and you should be able to play native resolution.
