Angrboda is a NORSE GOD . Ancient "mythology" of the Norse does not include BLACK AFRICANS . Its not racist . Its just the way it is . The only people that find this a flaw could probably be considered racist. These stories have been told for 1000 years . Black people don't have to be included in everything . In fact , I think it is causing a problem by doing so ."special treatment" putting them in stories they don't belong in . People need to just stop it and grow up . Why you even bring it up? Im just going to say, i played the mission with her on my friends ps5 last year and now i am waiting for a mod to change the appearance only for my sanity because i am a huge fan of the mythology. I follow discussions on steam because i want to get it but mod is important

It just makes it hard to look past some points here. She is in a jungle, she climbs trees like crazy, she yowls at a yak looking creature. Everything about this has been racist not just the skin color. All i want to do is buy the game, change the appearance and act like none of this happened. What makes her worse though is that she throws bright colors like its a splatoon party at the pride parade, obviously an anecdote to something but again nothing i have a problem with, just noticing their agenda. I wonder where the SBI involvement was because it was clear from the day i read the twitter post when ragnarok came out

I live in Africa, very far from a racist. But race swapping someone and adding things like tree climbing, missing dad and mom, crazy grandma and throwing bright colors like its splatoon feels like agenda and racism to me. They made the whole character unappealing. Changing her appearance might not even save it for me and will look out for a mod to skip her completely like spiderman 2, the whole time she was on screen just made me miss the old gow.

None of this was necessary, if she looked the same and didnt throw bright colors, didnt try to race you and win, didnt want to climb trees like shes better at it than you. Then i wouldnt mind anything about her at all. Its the racist anecdotes that follow that makes her bad.

Anyways, as an African, i said my piece and im out

I don't watch any of that stuff where they insist on placing Black Africans in history where they weren't . Im not "racist" I just don't understand exactly what is going on, but it's a bit extreme .Especially in the usa where they make up 10% of our population . Im ALL FOR equal representation . 10% is one in ten people . Asians should be in more stuff . They make up 5% of usa populace yet you rarely see them ,and they have a rich and beautiful culture to share . So, one in five . To me thats what equal representation means . Not 100% all the time . Every commercial , every show, every movie . They all ready have their very own channels and shows . Idk, just seems weird . I did look up the Netflix thing and it does state that "lawyer files a suit against Netflix, saying its docudrama aims to "distort the Egyptian identity". Cleopatra was the daughter of one of Alexander the Greats generals, Ptolemy I Soter who is DEFINiTELY white .Theres statues, paintings and carvings in stone of all these people . Most of northern Africa was never black . Ancient hieroglyphs don't depict any of the pharos as black either , so this is concerning to say the least that someone is going to great lengths to miss represent [disinformation ?dare I say lol ] history .Just like shoving black africans in Norse Mythology just because .Honestly , if I was black some of this stuff would make me angry . Again, what is the end point ?
