Using a PS5 controller
Does steam support using the PS5 controller like on the PS5?
Features like the adaptive triggers is the only thing I care about.
I know you can hook directly to steam and it connects, but is there a way to use some of the features of the controller?

You need to plug it with the usb cable to use all the dual sense features

It works wireless just update firmware and game needs to support wireless .

When a game has native support with DualSense features, you need to turn OFF steam input. Go to your library, click on the game, on the game's library page on the right is a controller icon, click it -> top right disable steam input.

You sometimes get a pop up telling you to do this on games that have native support.

Needs to be a wired connection for full DS features.

they fixed it in firmware to have all the haptic functions without being plugged in?

Yeah, need whired usb c connection for full futures like haptic feedback and speaker, but most futures are possible with whireless BT

Haptic only works wired for the time being. But playing it wired is pretty sweet with the dual sense with games that actually support it.

God of War Ragnarök, dual sense connection is wired only. No native wireless connection actually, but maybe in a future update.

i don't understand why they can't just enable wireless haptic features on pc already. especially if they are direct IPs from Sony. if a console can do it, why can't a pc using their controller and their software work?

One of the reason is that the dualsense controllers tecnically use two BT connections at once for full futures, and I dubt there are currently possible in windows without special hardware.

Lets hope sony does what they did with the ps4 controller and release a whireless dongle!

ohhh, i wasn't aware it did two connections on one device. doesn't really make sense to me considering the information being tossed between the signal requiring two connections/signals to use full functions, doesn't use enough info to peak out that band with just a controller signal.

One connection does the classic controller stuff, and the other provides audio both in and out, plus haptics.

I think thats the same reason why PS5 only support 4 controllers, a fifth would require 10 totall BT connections.

Lets hope sony will give us a whireless dongle soon!
in the meanwhile a USB cable is good enugh!

i have audio capabilities with the controller using Bluetooth for the ps5 controller. i can use the wireless mic through the controller. i think it's just left out on purpose. if the controller can send two separate signals then my pc should see both of them.

Spacemarine 2 supports haptic feedback and adaptive triggers without usb connection. I find it annoying that a game belongs to sony fails to deliver a good experience with their own products what a 3rd company delivers so amazingly....

I've played other games with haptics and adaptive triggers wireless. Very strange.

On another note, I still see the xbox button glyphs when playing with the Dual Sense controller? I also see no way to change this in game?
Does anyone else get the PS button glyphs?

I get no feedback at all in my PS5 controller. I am using a wired connection and I use it for other games like GoT and Black Myth without any issues. Not sure what the problem is with GoW.
