Suddenly, a new patch appeared, which introduced items to the Steam Points store, a downloadable soundtrack and collector's cards. About two days ago. And when I pressed the green "Play" button, the game did not start. Identical problem as yours.
However, I solved this problem in 10 minutes.
It turned out that after the last update, the firewall in my Avast antivirus did not allow GoW Ragnarok to pass through. Avast didn't like something related to the codec responsible for Pad. The "CrashPad" file was blocked by Avast and the entire game hit my firewall.
About what I did:
1. I uninstalled Avast - I completely removed the Antivirus from my computer.
2. I ran the Game File Integrity Checker.
3. I turned the computer off and on.
4. The game works normally :) Success!
5. I played for 2-3 hours. After turning off the game, I reinstalled Avast. I have Antivirus on my computer again.
6. I run the game without any problems - Avast no longer blocks the game. Firewall works in Antivirus now works properly.
Everything is fine now.
Generally, in my case there was a problem that after the last update, Avast must have misjudged GoW Ragnarok and started blocking my game. But now after reinstalling Avast I have no problem. But it was still very strange, nothing like this had ever happened to me.
Had the same problem, and this solved it - no clue why!
Thanks anyway mate!
Man, nice soluce its good for me now
