All side quests completed except for the stupid fetch quest.
The game is still broken in difficulty imho.
Balanced difficulty is broken.
Main quest is easy, secondaries and bosses are very difficult.
Lowering the difficult by a notch makes the game too easy.
I have experience clearing the previous game 100% on GMGOW so maybe that's the reason.
Which one in Alfheim?
Hjalti, The Stolid?
or Svipdagr, The Cold And The Sisters Of Illska?
and tbf, the side content is only as hard as we make it. enemies don't really scale with you. so that Berserker with a red health bar and a skull (meaning it's 3 lvls above you and will one shot you) won't always be a red health bar boss if you choose to come back later after a few more upgrades.
And unluckily if you're fighting the Berserker with the twin sisters, well that's apparently one of the hardest Berserkers in the game.
Here's a ranked list, from easiest to hardest Berserkers. subjective of course. but I'm about more than halfway done and can vouch for most of this.
-Skjothendi, The Unerring (Mist Fields, Niflheim) (after end game)
-Fraekni, the Zealous (The Lake of Nine, Midgard)
-Hardrefill, The Callous (Nidavellir, Svartalfheim)
-Hjalti, The Stolid (The Forbidden Sands, Alfheim)
-Beigadr, The Feared (Alberich Island, Svartalfheim)
-Haklangr, The Bearded (The Sinkholes, Vanaheim)
-Hvitserkr, The Bold (Pilgrim's Landing, Vanaheim)
-King Hrolf Kraki (King's Grave, Midgard) (have to beat all 12 first)
-Bödvar, The Fierce And Starólfr, The Troublesome (Jarnsmida Pitmines, Svartalfheim)
-Svipdagr, The Cold And The Sisters Of Illska (The Barrens, Alfheim)
-King Hrolf Kraki At The Forum
if i have to do something frustrating at least i'd rather do something useful than play a video game. playing frustrating games is just idiotic.
Don't remember the name but I decided to abandon the berserkers combat.
Too difficult for me.
well like i mentioned, they're only this hard when you attempt these challenges early in your run. go back after you upgrade several times. you'll see their health bar color drop a level or two, and everything should be more manageable.
i do however have issues with Challenges later on and some Berserkers...but the thing is I completed every side quest and cleared alnost every level - did not go to the final Realm when you get warned to get prepaired - and some things feel impossible.
I don't know.
Generally I feel lack of resources to create more than one build.
