Not able to launch the game

Hello, 

So I've bought God of War Ragnarok the day it was released to Steam platform. On the first day, I've installed it and played for around 2 hours. Not many issues, that I've encountered. 

Then I left for few days and after I returned, I found out that there were 3 updates (patch 2). I've installed them and then wanted to play the game only to find out that I am not able to launch it. 

On Steam platform whenever I press the green button PLAY it looks like it's launching, but nothing happens. It looks like it's launching, on the list then I see Running written next to the game title, the green button changes to blue saying STOP, but no addition window is open, the game just won't start. After few seconds it reverts like when the game is closed and I see again just the green button saying PLAY. 

I've tried to resolve the issue, firstly trying to verify the files, nothing happened. Then I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, didn't help either. I've tried few approaches with compatibility settings, no results. I've looked in many Steam discussions, 

With each upcoming update I just hope that it will help me with this problem, but not lucky yet. 

Here are my PC specs: 

MB: MSI MAG B460M MORTAR WiFi

Proc: Intel Core i7-10700F

GC: GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB

RAM: 32GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16

SSD: WD Blue SNB550 1TB

I think that my PC is capable to run it with these being more then recommended system requirements. 

If you could help me, I would be much grateful.

I have the same issue no luck yet and I have contacted steam and playstation support.

i had same issue i restored my bios settings to default i tried basically everything u can try deleting sony interactive folder, starting app from running as administrator, verifying gamefiles, reintalling C++ windows, i tried all of that but when i restored my bios settings it worked just fine

my issue was also the play button saying launching and then going back to play a few seconds later

I literally just "fixed" mine. I downloaded the mod from nexus mod that bypasses the PSN sign in. I just downloaded the file and extracted it to my GOW folder. Then it started and launched when I hit play. When it asks if you want to sign in with playstation just hit no.

I've come across interesting solution half an hour after I posted. I deleted the Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc in Program Data folder and then installed it back from the GoW Ragnarok game folder by launching PsPcSdkRuntimeInstaller and PsPcSdkRuntimeManager afterwards. Now the game runs. Hope I won't have to do this every time I want to play, but it takes less than a minute, so I am willing to pay this price for the possibility of playing afterwards.

Many players have this problem. Just delete the folder starting with a 3. here: C:\ProgramData\Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc\PSPC_SDK\S22 and try start the game again. it works for me. byebye

Yeah i can not get past the Loading Screen also. Have to reinstall the sdk sometimes. Other than that this Port is amazing.
