After today's update the game doesn't even start, I click to play and it appears to send an error report

edit: Check the files, there will probably be some corrupted ones, the game will start without problems(my experience)

Validate your files before crying here

The game is huge and have many files. Almost every new update or patch - have a risk of missing files. So don't be surprised when your game doesn't want to run when you try to start it. EACH time before you play - validate your files just to be sure.

After the update the game started once, but without sound. I closed the game, checked my audio configurations and after that it won't start at all.

Validating files doesn't help in this case.

Update: Clearing shaders fixed it.

Crash on startup here too, after new patch. Also, the game must be manually Stopped, as exiting the game (or crashing) doesn't actually close the process.

I too am getting the crash report everytime. Unfortunately validating files does not work. Any other suggestions?

Go to your Steam directory, Steamapps subdir, and Shadercache subdir. Delete numbered directories under that. Maybe only the most recent dated one if this game is the one played or installed most recent, not sure.

well, i have found some action s, which helped me< but I do not know what exactly helped
1) I have deleted "userpreferences" by the path "C:Users[your user name]\Saved Games\God of War Ragnarok[AccountID]\userpreferences"
2) I have started the game with some parametres
- Start this program with admin permition
- Disable fullscreen optimizations
in game i changed some graphic params
