Is there a way to play in offline mode?

Hi!
Is there a way to play in offline mode. I think my internet service will undergo maintenance tomorrow.
Usually when they give advance notice, it takes a long time to get back to normal. 😕

If you launched the game at least once, then it should be possible.
You can always test it by going offlinemode in steam.

Yeah, I tried that before and I thought it wasn't working, but now I've notice it's only my PS4 controller that doesn't work. If I played with m/k it'd be ok.
Weird... that doesn't happen with other games, not ever with GOW 2018. 🤔

In my experience (on Deck at least), launch the game with wifi on, then turn off the wifi after launching. That seems to be the only solution to keep from having controller issues when playing offline.

This seems to be the only way. When I try launching offline it fails to authenticate and prompts me to quit the game.
