Game Isn't Launching Properly

Just recently experiencing this issue after 20 hours in where I go to Launch the game and nothing happens... says game is running but not launching. I tried Clearing Cache, Uninstalled the game and it worked on 1 play through... but than resorted back to not launching. Anyone else having this issue?

I am also experiencing this problem. All the basic troubleshooting avenues seem to not help. Verified files, tried compatibility mode (Gave me a window saying Win 10 is required), checked graphics drivers, dpi settings (Idk why this was there, the guide said it was supposed to help), and still nothing. I got to play 10 hours, barely make it into the game, then nothing on start. Literally nothing about my pc had changed from the night before, and yet I cant start the game. Steam says the game's running, but there is no window or backround process according to Task Manager.

Yea I'm just gonna do a Fresh Install of Steam and see if that work's... every other game is working sadly. Just a weird porting bug from Sony i'm guessing.

same here. This is my first time trying to launch the game and it won't launch. I preordered it, but wanted to finish Ghost of Tsushima before I started this. I finished ghost, and finally ready to play this, but it will not launch. I did the same thing you and previous comments did.

Really long first time start is because the shaders are compiling. I thought I was having problems on first launch, too, but waited and eventually the game booted. Subsequent launches still compile shaders but it's much faster, unless you update your graphics driver, then it's back to a long time.

Same here, game was starting fine before. Steam says the game in launched, I can see the process in the task manager, but no windows is opening for the game...

Been like this since the last patch. Only way ive been able to play is to right click the game in the library > go to manage > then browse local files. Right click the 2 Sdk files > go to more options > then uninstall and reinstall them both. Then the game will finally launch. Have to do this every time i launch the game

I just did a fresh install of Steam and the game is working fine now... I've started it 3 times and shut it off 3 times, so far so good if anyone see's this.

So clearly, the issue, that appeared with the last patch, is related to PSN login at startup.
I will try to reinstall steam tonight, otherwise I will go for the mod

I am glad i came here. Im having the same exact issue. And the mod fixed it. That's what you get for actually logging in that damn PSN thing. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.
