i am waiting for patch even though i brought the game .
yep, released a few weeks to early imo.
Hahaha PC users get shafted again. Good thing I still have my PS5 copy.
the guys at DF know full well the ps5 is capable of full native 4k and 120fps, just like my 4080 - now, it can't actually hit it in modern games like those listed above, but .... it's not like this generation of consoles and a PC are that vastly different when it comes to raw output power.
and games designed for the ps4, should have enough overhead when optimized for the ps5, to be ... as beautiful as that game can be minus a remaster.
i've got both installed RN, both connected to the same OLED display.
the ps5 game is amazing. in performance mode it's upconverting from at least 1080, probably something dynamic up to 2k and it runs up to 80-90fps with perfect frame timing.
that's on the damn ps5! if it runs that good and looks that good on the ps5 what were they expecting on the PC? for it to shoot lasers and honey out the back end?
on the PC, in "performance mode" - i'm upconverting to, ahem, 5120x2880 from a base resolution of 2560x1440, mixed settings from medium to max, 120fps solid.
i honestly don't get what extra the DF guys are wanting this port to do or be? there is zero about the PC experience that seems misaligned from how this ran on ps4/5.
not for nothing but this is a terrible way to look at it.
if you do have a PC and you don't have a ps5 and you are playing this game... how did you get shafted?
so you have it on PS5? great, show me the game in ultra wide... no you can't, cause ps5 players got shafted ...
show me the game running at 200fps and you controlling it with a mouse and keyboard - oh wait... you can't do that... cause you're over there shafting...
i dunno - it's so weird that people do this constant mine vs yours thing like haha you guys lost you're dumb for buying a pc, haha...? what the hell is wrong with you?
how about, those who want to game on a PC and play this amazing game can. in an almost identical manner to the original console version, i own both also, the experiences are the same.
except for 1 you have all these extra options like ultrawide and super high fps and multiple input options... well i guess i'll see you guys later, i'm off to enjoy the shafting at the hands of this perfect PC port! cheers :)
sure didn't - never said that i did... but i own the game on the ps5 and pc and i've got enough hours in both to comment however i feel... thanks for caring.
i'm not trying to change anyone's minds - and mine is firmly planted.
so don't think you're about to get somewhere or "win" an argument - more than likely i won't even see the reply so... i guess get it all out cause i know you're gonna, just know i probably won't see it. yeah, i'm an ass just like you, welcome to the internet. we've got cookies in the back and that lady over there makes absolute amazing coffee. you just have to trade her your first born kid for some. i didn't need children anyway, more time for gaming #damngoodcoffeetoo
The port has a few issues but they all look fixable. The stutter on transitions is very minor It's not like the game has bad traversal or shader compilation stutter. The muffled audio may already be fixed in the latest patch. The rest of the stuff will very likely be fixed in patches. Its got a good technical foundation from which to build on.
