Berserker gravestones are rigged
Even when i perfectly dodge, i still take damage. Im playing on a hard difficulty and am just trying to finish up with left over stuff before i attack asgard. Still, why do they make this ♥♥♥♥ too hard and allow it only to be done after you finish the game, makes no sense. Dunno whether its a bug or jsut bad designs imo

Before initiating Ragnarök, I tried to complete everything I could up to this point.
So I was "over prepared" for most of them on my 1st playthrough on Normal difficulty.
I defeated the majority of them on my first try (even when I was still a bit underleveled at certain points of my playthrough) and had no real issue with them.
Maybe you dodge backwards, if so then it's no wonder why they still connect their attacks.
I recently saw jacksepticeye's "Let's Play" of the game and at his first Berserker encounter in Midgard, he also got hit multiple times even after he dodged the attacks but he rolled backwards. After realizing this, he tried to roll/dodge to the side. This helped him alot.

Yes, it is hard, and I share your sentiment. Words of advice:

1. First, learn to always dodge simple(r) attacks to the other side than that where the weapon is held. It'd be a no-brainer irl, but in the game it can get ambiguous. Anyway, you'll soon find how vastly different the outcome is compared to dodging to the side where the weapon is held, and/or vertically to the enemy. It's gonna get like, "Are you even trying, bro?" :D But only for those simple attacks, ofc.

2. There is this sweet spot, right before the green circle stops that is the perfect time to make a double dodge (shift and then roll). It's cheezy, but you have to anticipate that moment, there's no real tell-tale. Also, as soon as you get the Amulet stone for traveling more distance while dodging, fights such as these get significantly easier.

I am playing the second hardest (I've no stomach for the frustration fest the first one is nowadays), and I've had to repeat each berserkr many times before beating them. For me, the key was to hone my own focus (I mean, irl focus). I hope you find yours.

Yeah, as a player that finished the gaem on GoW difficulty I must say it's all about learning and adapting.

When you slow down a bit - it becomes easier no matter the enemy.

i remember the valkyries... also incredibly hard to beat, even on normal difficulty.
Those optional boss fights are insane and weird...
