In a nutshell. Can I play this game offline?

After the online registration of the game on DRM platforms (frking PSN n all), can I play this game OFFLINE.

100% OFFLINE.

That is to say, if I am without an internet connection, for days, maybe even weeks. Do I still get access to my game, as I do with (most) other Steam titles?

Yes, just tested to launch the game in ariplane mode, seems to work fine. Might require a reactivation, though, if the game has been "offline" for a longer period of time.

I had to use the No PSN mod but yes it's possible.

Right, so if I buy the game legit, I get forced onto a DRM platform for which I require a mod to ensure consistent offline access to the game? And of course, the 'mod' will work, until it doesn't.

I suspect the better more user friendly version will be best obtained from Sailing the High Seas Me Hearties.
