Did you know Vikings dreadlocks was never a thing in their culture?

Why is it prevalent in TV and movies?

It's Hollywood post 80s phenomenom due to Bob Marley, Whoopi who popularised it and film makers incooperated it as it looks cool.

Dreadlocks are 100% African culture origin. This is why whiners need to realise, no offence but GoW Norse mythology and the hairstyles are not accurate.

Just as a fun fact, when writing history, specially ancient history, we use artifacts, clues, small pieces of written documents if there are any and a whole lot of guess work.

More modern history is far easier due to a abundance of records. The deeper you go into the past, the less accurate it gets.

Factually inaccurate. Historians are split on whether they (vikings) had dreadlocks, but they definitely had braids which aren't really different, so...

This is pretty silly. Dreadlocks Can be found wherever thick, curly hair can be found. Some cultures are more likely to have thick curly hair than others, but most cultures have thick curly hair.

Also, you can't trust anyone who refers to Norsmen as Vikings. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you'd know that Viking is a profession that some Norsemen would take on.
