Save files lost?
Please someone who knows the files help me out. My computer crashed on me while I was playing earlier and I thought nothing of it, I went to make dinner. When I came back and booted back up the game. It was as if I booted it up for the first time. All progress has been lost.

Some time ago a fellow posted something in bug reports (alas it keeps getting buried.):

I navigated to the path that others have presented earlier in this thread (...\AppData\LocalLow\Funday Games)
I then did a right click > Show More Options > Restore Previous version > Selected a restore point for the "DRG Survivor" folder (where the save files are stored) to one from earlier that morning (or maybe the previous day).
Regardless, even losing a few hours is better than losing all progress.
I hope this helps some folks. I'm not sure how far back this method can be used but if the folder still exists in then at least Windows should keep some previous versions. I'm on Windows 11 if that matters at all.

I'd try this out and hopefully it'll have a back up of your save.

Thanks I gave it a try. Sadly it did not work so I guess I will either start from Zero or never play the game again I guess

On Windows 10 instead of "Show More Options", do Properties, there should be a restore point tab.

On a side note, I did come across this post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2321470/discussions/0/4342103279870973941
A couple versions back, but this thread covers backing up, and somewhat restoring data via save data editing. (...I really hope this save data loss thing gets fixed soon.)
