ArmsKore Coil Gun sucks

I actually do like this weapon a lot, but there is one glaring flaw holding it back: Gunner

The weapon has zero synergy with any of the Gunner's subclasses. Weapons Specialist and Heavy Gunner rather want to use Projectile and Heavy weapons respectively and Juggernaut massively tanks the range of the weapon, which makes it barely usable

Also it is a Medium Beam weapon, which are two tags that are not available to any subclass either, so it is always stuck on Gunner

I think the weapon would make much more sense on the Driller, as by concept the spiraling beams seems fitting a lot, resembling a drill shot, as well as the synergy with piercing terrain, which is useful when mining

Yeah the gun should be usable for other classes too, maybe in the future it will be.

Maybe the best weapon in the game, you are getting things mixed up here for no reason. The gun itself does not suck, it sucks that you only get to use it as the gunner.

It is. By your logic M1000, Sentry, Thunderhead and the Leadburster are also bad weapons and everyone who has played the game knows they are not.

Like I said, I agree that it would be nice that the Coilgun would be usable by other classes too but the gun would still be as good as before.

I'd also like to see a medium weapon specialist, but in the meantime Heavy Gunner synergizes with the heavy beam weapons, which in turn synergize with the coil gun.
