Can't play on controller

Im using dualshock 4 controller but for some reason it is stuck to up command (?).

In menu it just keep going up, in gameplay it just keeps going up dont know what to do.

Tried using ds4, steam controller support both with the same problem.

Someone on our Discord had the same problem. They solved it by manually enabling Steam Input API and configuring their controller in Steam.

Same. Gamepad works ok during Steam test, but not in the game. None of the button work, and stick is all f***d up.
How do you enable this "Steam Input API"? Is there a comprehensive instruction?

Open the game, press shift + tab (open steam overlay), then go to the controller configurations options then you can enable it, seems to work for me have to restart the game after all that.
