Pink Orbs?

Hey so i thought that the pink orbs that drop from killing certain enemies was health restore. but i watched my health and nothing changes. what do these pink orbs actually do? are they bonus exp orbs or something?

its just more exp, health is that singular red glowing crystal not confused with the small red crystals thats nitra.
