Dreadnaut Boss Jump
That jump is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, killing everything pretty easy runs going well only to get insta killed from a jumping dreadnaut. It's an non-canonical move with Deep Rock Lore. Get rid of it. Make the dreadnaut shoot a fireball or something like they do in the game.

Its hard and can be better balanced, or new attack types added, but no, I dont want it removed.

At least on h1 its kinda viable to beat it after some hours played and learning its timing.

I usually try to fake a direction im not even going to when I see hes gonna jump, and works often. Move speed is a must tho.

If it only followed it would be very easy to cheese. A big fireball with huge aoe could be nice, as an option.

It stops and rears back for a good long second before the jump. Just start moving laterally when it does that. Clean out the swarm and rocks from an arena to prepare for the boss fight if you don't have enough freedom of movement. It takes like -50% movement speed before dodging the leap starts getting... dodgy. Remember the supply drop pod takes off half its HP if you're finding yourself lacking for DPS.

The game just released... providing feedback goes further then "Get rid of it.".

as said before, the moment you see it stop rear up, immediately change directions and continue running until it lands.

All you have to do is move out of it's path. Super simple.

Love it when these kiddos get smoked by a boss on their first run, then demand it gets removed from the game...Not how to make it better, or playstyle adjustments...Naw just get rid of it 🤣👍

So I've gotten to the boss about 8 times now and I've died every time. Do I have the best reflexes? No but it feels like a bit of a departure from the feel of the rest of the game. I understand there's a lag to his jump, but I think 2 issues remain. Even if you know to move to the side, there's often a bunch of explodey guys or explodey magma plants in the way. One possible suggestion instead of "just remove this" is give a circular damage indicator ala Soulstone Survivors. If I know exactly where his damage hitbox is going to occur, I think that may mitigate a large amount of frustration for some players.

I think the idea of a large volley of fireballs/spit where the player needs to be aware of position but only needs to move an inch instead of 4 could also mitigate the need to run deep into something else that will murder you.

For reference I've put probably 6-700 hours into various VS-likes/Brotato-likes.

The Boss isn't that hard, you can kite it a lot and then when it begins it's jump as others have said move left or right to avoid.

Picking weapons that aim at the strongest enemy as their perk helps too.

I've died sometimes from the boss but that's because I've usually done something dumb like not leaving myself an opening or getting boxed in.

My main issue is that it's completely unreadable due to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ perspective

''Move out of the way'' is the obvious answer to this boss problem but it also depends on your luck getting move speed upgrades. I feel the upgrades are really watered down compared to the demo. I get that they want to make this challenging but it also needs to be fun.

You should clear out an arena for the fight, of enemies, of terrain, and of hazards. There's a ton of time before the boss force spawns and no hordes to occupy you, just a few ez elites. Use that time to prep the terrain.

IDK, I found the dorf to be fast enough with as much as -30% speed from Pickled Nitra. Speed ups are a luxury for dodging it.

The jump isn't the issue it's his endless health pool

That's a sign of sub-optimal upgrade/item selection.
