How to open other classes?

Smarter players than I advised elsewhere:
-From main menu, click MILESTONES
-Click the far right CLASSES tab
-You'll see progress meters for unlocking Class Mods and Classes. I think the Classes are listed as "Rewards" at the bottom, you may need to scroll down a bit to see them.

Isn't Scout our initial available class? It looks like we unlock the Recon class mod for Scout, by getting Scout to L9.

I would really have preferred they just put plain English Tooltips that pop up when we mouseover the Class Unlock icons. But the devs didn't ask me and probably couldn't care less what I think.
