Warthog, another front-facing weapon, is one of my faves funny enough. Mainly thanks to it ALWAYS shooting and thus having amazing synergy with plasma (while mining shots just bounce behind you) and it's unstables are both really good.
Minigun just doesn't do enough for it's restriction. And even in cases I have a bit of breathing room and can turn around... it's reloading thanks to it needing an entire clip to still miss one singular grunt coming from the front while running away.
I wouldn't mind if it was changed to be something like a 360 degree fast rotating weapon like the flamethrower, or if you could manually aim it with your mouse. But anything is better than how it's currently working.
Manual aim is a nice idea btw. Reload time is long enough not to make it an overkill.
By that point the gun was literally shredding through crowds and it made the dreadnaught fight feel like an elite.
