Drop Pod Timer Mod?
A while back, just about when this game launched in EA, I could've sworn I saw someone talk about how to modify something to change the drop pod timer.
Obviously I haven't had any luck in finding that post myself, so I figured I'd see if anyone else has been doing this?

The game is great, I just really hate the 30 second timer, and I disagree that it matches the theme of DRG. You decide when to call the drop pod in DRG.
The bugs get stronger over time with or without the timer, so if I, for example, want to risk going off to grab a supply drop that I had to pass on earlier, then I want to be able to do that.

Those original Nexus mods haven't been updated in months, but there's a newer "Mod Menu" mod that lets you change the drop pod timer (and includes just about any other cheat you can imagine.)

Could be open to abuse, game is balanced around it. Staying on a map as long as you could with a very easy way out doesn't seem fair either.

Just prepare better. Can't say I never missed the droppod but with paying attention and a bit of planning of your side its very hard to miss it. It's a bit risk/reward.

I never said it was a difficulty thing lol. I don't enjoy it.
If wanting to mod a single player game is abuse, I'm alright with abusing it.

The game's still balanced around those timers, if you want to drag out your length on any given stage, don't kill the Elite until you want to.

Guys, I'm not here making any arguments about the game, its mechanics, or what should be done.

This is simple. I don't enjoy the timer as it is implemented, and I'm asking if anyone here is familiar with modifying it.

You are doing the right thing by modding out the stuff you don't like. Personally, I never buy games that can't be modded.
we know that an estimated 5% of people are giving feedback globally on all products. of these 5% around 80% want a longer drop pod timer or a change in that direction according to the game forums.

unfortunately it is the current standard to behave without responsibility and do what you want no matter how it affects others. so the person or people in charge wont care
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thats a good way to view stats poorly. It's like good/bad reviews. If you got a bad product you're more likely to leave a review then when you got a good product.
Most people are fine with the droptimer. But if you are fine with it you're not gonna make a topic saying "wow this droptimer is cool man".

Thank ya!
Ended up going with the Unfinished Business mod.
Adjusted the timer to 60 seconds, and it's been good to me. :praisesun:
