Just prepare better. Can't say I never missed the droppod but with paying attention and a bit of planning of your side its very hard to miss it. It's a bit risk/reward.
If wanting to mod a single player game is abuse, I'm alright with abusing it.
This is simple. I don't enjoy the timer as it is implemented, and I'm asking if anyone here is familiar with modifying it.
unfortunately it is the current standard to behave without responsibility and do what you want no matter how it affects others. so the person or people in charge wont care

Those original Nexus mods haven't been updated in months, but there's a newer "Mod Menu" mod that lets you change the drop pod timer (and includes just about any other cheat you can imagine.)
Thats a good way to view stats poorly. It's like good/bad reviews. If you got a bad product you're more likely to leave a review then when you got a good product.
Most people are fine with the droptimer. But if you are fine with it you're not gonna make a topic saying "wow this droptimer is cool man".
Ended up going with the Unfinished Business mod.
Adjusted the timer to 60 seconds, and it's been good to me.
