Also got the feeling they made their cut, increased the price and moved on :-) Sad to see, because with a little bit of love this could be a fun game.

I, once again, suggest people to read the announcement channel.

Seems so
No, it hasn't been forgotten. They have their roadmap still active for update 5, which will be released in Q1 (Q1 until April). The devs are more responsive in Discord, especially asnwering questions from regular players. As for the progression for the next Update, it varies in size and difficulty, as they're still figuring out their workflow and schedule.

Regarding the still bad balance since the last big update... feels like it, yeah.
Also still no indicator for enemies behind obstacles? That's like basic stuff for Survivor games. oO

The balance is great. You can make any weapon work.
FFS, it's been less than 2 months since the last update. Chill TF out. Not every game has a dev team that can crank out major updates every week. 🙄 God some people have no patience. And this is coming from someone with ADHD.

I suggest reading the lastest announcement: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2321470/eventcomments/4632611455209869711/

I think people are forgetting that it's NOT GSG that's developing the game, anything that gets added for the main game, people just assume that something similar will come to this game all because they're associated the name with GSG... not like it says what company is the actual development side of it on both the store page, when the game's booted up and when you exit it there's the question if taking a survey to give feedback to the developers.
Didn’t they just add new weapons?? They have a road map. Chill bruh

if by "just" you mean 3+months then you'd be correct

Taking so much time for the next update will only make sense if it is indeed a massive one. Dare I say , a game changing one. Unfortunately, I am not quite sure that will be the case and at the very least I do not see new maps (yes, plural) being announced, which is probably the worst aspect of this game for me- not enough maps to make it feel fresh. Adding more weapons and bonuses is not it. Add more maps and more enemies. The only way to make this game actually fun for more than 50-100 hours. No one wants to run the same few maps again and again and again, but with a different weapon.
Also, I am sorry, but I do not buy that it's a small studio. They've made 1 million sales. Go get more people.

Or if, you know, it's not a huge team working on it.

Massive amount of sales does not equal a studio instantly getting big. Hiring takes time, even more so if the people you're bringing in are new-ish and have to be trained.

Funday Games is currently split into two development teams, since they are making another game too, which results in two smaller team working on different projects.

Lastly: you don't seem to understand how much work is involved in making games and how much time anything takes, so you're just making assumptions out of nothing.

Devs June 2024: Update and we're going on vacation.
Devs September: 2024: We're back from vacation and going to start releasing updates!

*releases 1 update in late october*

Aaaaaand it's 2025.

Back from holiday break yet guys? :D Fiending for endless mode.
I do feel sorry for people who live in countries with no paid leave. Do you realise there is no NG+ IRL? Do you actually think the devs on their death bed are going to be thinking "My greatest regret was releasing DRG in Oct2025, when it really could have been Jul2025....... " ~beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep~

Aint gonna happen bud!

They released solid quarterly updates most of last year and made mention on the last one (in Oct) that there would be a bigger gap between updates.

They say it again in the 2nd sentence in the news update for December.

I guess I should just be happy this forum hasnt devolved into "NITRA WOKE?!??!?"

Don't get baited Tiramisu :)

When reading a forum post, imagine a smiling person sitting in front of you. The post you are reading might not be very deep and may just poke a little fun at the situation at hand. :steamhappy:

Merry February from Denmark. Gonna take a 1 week paid leave in 2 weeks. :steamhappy:
