How do we gain scout levels in the demo?

Having played the demo a while now, I still could not understand what gets the scout levels in the milestones? It seems like through playing the scout gets levels, but what are the actual actions we need to do to get the levels?

The milestones give you meta rank XP or class XP for scout.
The list is at the bottom under the other unlocks.
The highest rank unlock is the boltshark X-80 at rank 15.

If you mean normal levels you get it by collecting resources and killing.
