feedback: hate the healing bosses
Since I don't control when my bullets/ammo/etc fires, the fact that they go immune for several seconds and I have no reasonable way to play around it other than "hope I deal enough damage" feels pretty bad in the higher levels when monster stacks really matter. The healing is also just a large middle finger to make a dps check.

agreed. I can't figure out if there's some mechanism that starts the healing, or if they're just giving you a middle finger.

You need to damage both at roughly equal pace. If the difference between their HP pools gets too big, they'll heal the one that has taken more damage back to around what the other has.

Clearly some people who haven't played original DRG in here. :winter2019neutralyul:

if you have a long range weapon, you can cheese by running away from them constantly, one guy will always try to jump on you and separate from the other, you keep running and chipping its hp away. That's how I do it consistently. They do not go into healing unless you stop moving. Maybe an unintended bug :) see what I did there?

Tip: With many weapons, you're probably going to want to focus you're attention on the red(?) twin (who likes to keep his distance). The other one keeps pretty close to you, which makes it pretty easy to damage (even incidentally).

Tried reading the patch notes? It's all clearly explained there.

If you damage either of the bosses much more than the other one, they initiate healing.

Simple, wasn't it?

going for mastery and encountered those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
it's straight up impossible.
devs need to make them "share" hp pool or healing draining life from range spider, like 0.5hp to heal 1-2hp of melee, but atm free heal is stupid

remember we don't have control at what we shoot mostly.
And even if we CAN control, we get surounded from every side and charged by 2nd boss.
it's 1v2, not 4v2 like in DRG

YES, i had a weapon that was doing like 3kish a hit and still couldn't put them down. then another run they were healing like ever 3 to 5 secs and i just had to whittle them down.

Weird thing to say because they don't work the same way at all.

At first I thought they heal the way that the other one drops some hp from his own to replenish the other while having more HP total than just (x+y)/2, but they just straight up fully heal to max(x,y)....

with long range/directional weapons or lasting otg weapons(turrets and stuff) its not such "big problem", but if you have "melee" weapons that range guy even when focused keep running away from you and if you dont have high enough movespeed than it becomes quite challenging if "possible"(for now I beat them each time so guess its doable still but its unneccesary "time consuming"...

Biggest issue I had when I did weapon mastery(bumerang) I feel like it got changed or just didnt noticed it before, but bumerang with spiral OC and both sides before rotated around you making aoe death zone, if it was the case there would be no problem, but now bumerang just make ellipse to picked target and you, I played just h1 there to try it out and it become so much challenging there since bumerang just focused melee boss and I couldnt make it focus range one at all and he went perma "full health" from low HP there, only way I managed to dmg the other one was to place range boss between me and melee boss, ofc I need good movespeed and it lasted just for short time since range boss run away and melee boss jump in....

since you have one weapon there, getting these bosses for some weapons can be a lot challenging or impossible maybe....

after playing for a bit, i can see that damaging them equally works. I was trying to stay between them, thinking if they went in for a hug, i'd be able to stop them. But the effect was to wear them down equally.

What's really fun is when they try to heal but can't reach each other so they just sit there invulnerable while the threat level keeps climbing.

Had that happen to me on a mastery in Hollow Bough (Thunderbird drones I think) last night. Had to clear some blockage between them before they would actually complete the healing cycle. Thankfully was able to finish that dive despite the swarm getting pretty dense.
the heal is miserable in masteries
