Haz 3 Magma with 22 driller?

Keep failing at it, like 10 attempts. I usually pick the axe. Better weapon? More leveling? I just can't kill enough bugs on stage 5 to survive.

Hard to say without understanding your weapon picks and class, but I mean like at haz3 you can do whatever you want and win even with some meme builds and without overclocks...

Axe tends to pull mobs towards you but at haz3 I think it should be fine.

Even at haz4 you can just max out subata and win the game.

Yes, for some reason the Magma stage swarms you no matter what class you take, the other stages seem more balanced at Haz 3, but magma is brutal, idk why

huh? The only hard one is the bushes biome with 9999 static defense + red bushes across the entire map while you are being chased by elites and tons of trash mobs...

yeah the number of mobs on the map at one point was just insane. The difficulty spike from 2 to 3 on that map seems crazy.

Granted I probably have more permanent buffs but I can't turn those off. Just pick two weapons and dump most of your upgrades into them. If your damage is low it's because you are putting too many upgrades into health, armor, or other unnecessary things. The 1,000 blocks mined goal doesn't even require a Driller if you're struggling with that class. It's only 200 blocks per level.

Damage and crit IMO. There's actually gonna be a point where you start doing haz 4/5 and everything seems an impossible slog until you level up your classes and permanent upgrades.

Then you'll unlock salt flats biome and stuff will seem sensibly difficulty again.

I mean like, you are doing something wrong or have super low perma ugprades. Mine are maxed. Elite slasher at stage 5 dies within 5 seconds. Main boss within 10 or so. Literally other weapons didn't had overclocks on them.

One tip I can give you, whenever you are having issues with Hazard 3 OR Hazard 4, the game is set in such a weay that you are also a few levels away from unlocking the next - usually very powerful - weapon.

So yes, if you keep failing Hazard 3 on your lvl 22 Driller, you should get him to lvl 24, then get that lvl 24 weapon you've just unlocked to lvl 12 and only then actually try to finish the run, because the Overclocks from that new weapon are often very good.

Same thing when you will be having trouble with Hazard 4 - get all your classes to lvl 27 to unlock their last weapons, in particular the ArmsKore Coil Gun for Driller is overpowered.

Good advice thanks. I did just unlock the dark plasma carbine, maybe that will do the trick.

That's the closest I've gotten, but the dread one-shotted me because my armor was too low.
