I'm also on the fence about a cool feature someone suggested about not having a fixed difficulty but allowing the player to keep diving until the dreadnought and risk losing the run not fully cashing in the rewards vs getting to later stages
Other than that, pretty much nothing, except challenge, though I wouldn't call spoungy enemies that hit for almost 1\3 of your HP a "challenge" xD
Just more enemies, no extra exp if you don't have enough DPS, and I definitely get all white and green upgrade runs on 4s and 5s lol but rng is rng so who nose
There is a soft cap for exp (lvl 60-65) You wont be getting much more than that per dive.. no matter the difficulty. Just one of the many ways the devs have limited what players can do inside the game. If anyone's go higher than lvl 65 feel free to post a screenshot here i would be interested to see it.
(for example the more damage you stack the faster you get the end of level boss and the faster you accidentally kill him even though you are desperately trying not to)
