Any incentive to play higher difficulties?
Greetings, either im blind or there is nothing you gain by playing on higher difficulties. That way its way more efficient to steamroll haz 1 to mine the whole map without risk to buy permanent upgrades in the menu

Higher hazards is just a challenge for yourself. There's nothing to gain except the satisfaction from beating it.

I think it'd benefit the game pacing and add variety to revamp the difficulty scaling entirely attached to depth level and have higher Haz being longer, allowing to reach for higher level caps, allowing for increased level up sinergies and different options for game time

I'm also on the fence about a cool feature someone suggested about not having a fixed difficulty but allowing the player to keep diving until the dreadnought and risk losing the run not fully cashing in the rewards vs getting to later stages
The incentive is to have the most fun while playin the video game, whichever diff that be for ya

From what I found out, you'll get higher class EXP(around 30-50%) after full clear, and you consistently will get 4-5 permanent upgrade resources from one rock. Exp is not that worthy imo, because you'll start to get like 50 damage per hit on stage 3, but farming rocks is definitely easier if you consistently clear at least 3-4 levels.
Other than that, pretty much nothing, except challenge, though I wouldn't call spoungy enemies that hit for almost 1\3 of your HP a "challenge" xD

Maybe it was only my imagination, but I thought it gave more xp and higher chances for good choices on leveling.

Just more enemies, no extra exp if you don't have enough DPS, and I definitely get all white and green upgrade runs on 4s and 5s lol but rng is rng so who nose

There is a soft cap for exp (lvl 60-65) You wont be getting much more than that per dive.. no matter the difficulty. Just one of the many ways the devs have limited what players can do inside the game. If anyone's go higher than lvl 65 feel free to post a screenshot here i would be interested to see it.

(for example the more damage you stack the faster you get the end of level boss and the faster you accidentally kill him even though you are desperately trying not to)
