Bosco - What does he do?

I've not seen Bosco really mentioned much except that there's more planned to do with him.

My question is: what is he supposed to be doing now? Is my Bosco bugged? I'll see him shoot a few measly rounds at glyphids in the first stage, but after that he doesn't even bother to shoot, much less shoot rockets or mine anything.

What's the point of him? Is he supposed to be doing something beyond shooting a few early glyphids?

Shooting a little at the moment. They'll be adding more content later on based on the roadmap.

Mainly looks sexy. But roadmap has things to come.

I can almost guarantee he'll eventually be your "revive" mechanic when they decide how to implement it into upgrades. But yeah for now he just adds a little additional firepower mainly to help you at the start when you have a starting weapon that doesn't target behind you or has a significant cd between uses.
