Is there a better/faster way to acquire gold?

I'm around 30 hours into the game and still only have around 10,000 out of 20,000 for the achievement.

Is there a better / more efficient way to acquire gold? (To spend on upgrades of course.)

It's something of a slog and, considering the reward at the end of the tunnel, not altogether something I'd say you should rush for. Just let it come naturally. But if you do want to speed it up a little? Complete the side objectives as much as possible each stage, choose the artifact that lets you find gold while mining anything (multiple times, if possible) and tag as much gold veins and loot bugs as possible. Other than that just keep doing what you're doing, friend.

Do remember the achievement is to spend 20k, not collect. So rerolling more often and buying up better cards in the 40g range will speed things along.

It does seem that that's the case, isn't it mate? It's all good. I do every side quest and try my best to get the just spam farm gold. It's just I'm 95% done with the achievements now, and this is my last one. I've done near enough all the unlocks now, so it's not a choir... just effort.

The easiest way to speed this up- when you kill the Dred, you normally level up from the dropped XP on the way back to the pod. When that happens, remember to spam reroll on the upgrade offered until you run out of gold.

You're at the end of the run anyway at that point, so you're losing nothing of value. It adds up pretty fast.

It took me about a week of grinding haz 1 as driller. Just go around the whole map grabbing all the gold veins, complete the side objective and then spend as much of your money as you can each round .

That's good to know, that's pretty much what I'm doing now. I take it you don't earn anymore gold from doing harder hazards then?
